Diamond grading - AGA announces Tucson conference

The Accredited Gemologists Association (AGA) has announced the program for its 2006 Tucson Conference, themed "Classic Gemology At Work in a Changing World."

Slated for Feb. 1, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., the conference comprises two morning and two afternoon sessions. The morning sessions, "Characteristics of Treated and Untreated Gemstones" and "Indicators of Origin," will be presented by John Koivula, of the AGTA Gem Testing Center; Michael Krzemnicki, of SSEF Swiss Gemmological Institute; and Shane McClure, of GIA Gem Trade Lab.
